It leads to the Bachelor of Science in Art with Multi-Age Visual Arts License. The Art Education program at Miami University prepares the student for licensure as an art teacher in Ohio Public Schools. It leads to the Bachelor of Science in Art with Multi-Age Visual Arts License (Prekindergarten through grade 12, ages 3-21). Accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD), Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP), and the State of Ohio Department of Education Teacher Licensure Standards, it is in compliance with current guidelines from Ohio’s Academic Content Standards (Visual Arts) and the National Art Education Association (NAEA).
