The Bio Resource Research Program in the College of Agricultural Sciences provides research-based, interdisciplinary education, in conjunction with a rigorous biosciences curriculum and opportunities for experiential learning and professional development, in fields related to biological resources, agriculture, and environmental, food and health sciences. Our graduates can contribute successfully to their future career fields or graduate programs, and think critically to help solve the world’s bio resource-related problems. Students can choose any one of the following option: Pest Biology and Management Pest biology and management involves the study of living organisms, such as insects, fungal and bacterial pathogens, vertebrates, and weeds that limit agricultural productivity. Students with an interest in entomology may study identification, biology and control of insects, including integrated plant protection, bio control, and use of beneficial insects. Research approaches range from basic laboratory studies to field experiments. Students will develop research skills in pest biology, development of management strategies, and assessment of pest impact on plants or livestock, preparing them for a variety of regulatory and research positions and graduate programs.

Admission Requirements

OSU provides direct admission to the University for International first-year. Applicants must meet minimum English language proficiency and GPA requirements. Admission decisions are made on a rolling basis with four entry dates. Other English language requirement: SAT: verbal/critical reading score of 500+ or evidence-based reading score of 560+.
