The multi-disciplinary degree program prepares you for a wide range of hospitality careers within a corporate setting, in a hospitality operations setting, or as an entrepreneur. The hospitality industry requires college graduates who can go directly into management and can hit-the-ground-running on their first day of work. The hospitality management program at OSU-Cascades provides students with the skills and knowledge to become leaders and innovators in the hospitality industry. The Hospitality Management major is a new degree; courses are not yet offered each year. Transfer students, junior or senior standing, would not be able to complete program through a traditional academic plan at this time. Check out the degree checklist below for details. The program will include classes in: Business management Service delivery and operations management Food and beverage operations Technology within the hospitality sector Entrepreneurship Careers Hospitality is the world’s largest employer generating nearly 200 million jobs globally. In Oregon, the hospitality industry is a $9.2 billion industry. It directly generates some 91,100 jobs in Oregon and indirectly creates another 41,000 jobs. As a result, one out of every nine jobs in Oregon is in the hospitality industry. Tourism and hospitality businesses are among the largest employers in Central Oregon and the industry is currently experiencing a surge in growth. Among the possible career fields are hotel management, cruise operations, conference services, restaurant ownership, and food and beverage services.

Admission Requirements

OSU provides direct admission to the University for International first-year. Applicants must meet minimum English language proficiency and GPA requirements. Admission decisions are made on a rolling basis with four entry dates. Other English language requirement: SAT: verbal/critical reading score of 500+ or evidence-based reading score of 560+.
