Admission Requirements

  • No GRE scores are required.
  • A master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university with an overall GPA of 3.25 in graduate course work. Students are eligible to request conditional admission with an overall GPA of 3.00.
  • Completion of the following prerequisite course:
  • OCTH 609 Advanced Research Methods and Data Analysis in Occupation based practice (or comparable graduate level Research Methods course)
  • For applicants who are an Occupational Therapy (OT) provider, a degree or certificate in occupational therapy from a professional occupational therapy program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education or by the World Federation of Occupational Therapists is required.
  • Select non-occupational therapists with a master’s degree in a relevant social-science field and demonstrated success in post-graduate education, research, or employment experiences that specifically align with faculty research in occupational science, may be admitted. These students must take OSC 891 during their first semester enrolled.
  • Interview by the doctoral admissions committee.
