Many factors contribute to a growing need for more licensed health care providers to treat patients. Physician Assistants (Associates) are highly skilled health care providers and are one of the fastest-growing professions in this country with continued high demand for PA graduates. PA program admissions and matriculation and the PA job market are all highly competitive.

Our program is the first established in the State of Maryland and one of the older programs in the USA. We have evolved as the profession has matured and are now exclusively housed here at Towson University, College of Health Professions.

Bachelor GPA

3.2+

No GRE scores are required.
A baccalaureate or master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university. The baccalaureate or master’s degree must be completed by July 1 of the applicant year and prior to the application being submitted in CASPA.
An overall science GPA of 3.20 or higher. This GPA is cumulative and includes all undergraduate and graduate science course work completed at regionally accredited colleges or universities.

English Proficiency: The TOEFL iBT is the only exam accepted for this program on which a minimum score of 25 is required for the speaking section and a minimum score of 20 for all other sections (listening, reading, and writing).
