The Forensic Science M.S. is a 37-credit program that is fully accredited by the Forensic Science Education Programs Accreditation Commission (FEPAC). The core curriculum will help you develop expertise in forensic chemistry, forensic biology, crime scene processing, ethics, legal issues, expert testimony and research project preparation. Elective courses offer a comprehensive study of several major areas of forensic science, including forensic death analysis, next generation sequencing, firearms and toolmarks analysis, advanced microscopy and laboratory management. If you choose, you may complete an internship with a professional forensic science laboratory.

No GRE scores are required
A baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college or university in biological sciences, chemistry, natural science or forensic science is required for full admission.
A minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.00 (on a 4-point scale) is required for full admission to the program. An undergraduate GPA of 2.75-2.99 may be considered for conditional admission. GPA calculations may be based upon the cumulative units or the last 60 units. See graduate admission policies for more information.
All applicants must have completed two semesters of general chemistry, two semesters of organic chemistry, two semesters of general physics, and two semesters of general biology, all with laboratory components.
Applicants wishing to pursue the Forensic Chemistry Track must have coursework in analytical chemistry or instrumental analysis.
Applicants wishing to pursue the Forensic DNA Track must have coursework in statistics, biochemistry, molecular biology and genetics.
