  • No GRE scores are required. 
  • A baccalaureate degree in computer science from a regionally accredited college or university or a baccalaureate degree in any other field with additional prerequisites (see below)
  • A minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.00 (on a 4-point scale) is required for full admission to the program. A minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.75 is required to be considered for conditional admission; applicants seeking conditional admission are encouraged to supplement their application package with a resume and a statement of purpose highlighting relevant work experience. GPA calculations may be based upon the cumulative units or the last 60 units of the degree. See graduate admission policies for more information.
  • Students without a Computer Science background must apply for fall admission.
  • Prerequisites (for non-computer science majors) with a grade of "B" or higher:
    COSC 501 - Fundamentals of Data Structures and Algorithm Analysis (COSC 501 is offered fall term only)
    COSC 502 - Computer Organization and Assembly Language for Non-CS/CIS Major.
    MATH 263 - Discrete Mathematics (MATH 263 is not required for students who have an engineering or mathematics baccalaureate degree.)
    Students may repeat prerequisite courses no more than two times to be eligible to take graduate-level courses.
