Film Studies Master is oriented towards the creative conception of documental and fictional cinema (writing, dramaturgy and directing) and, simultaneously, towards critical thinking and theoretical investigation of cinema (in articulation with the fields of art, culture and politics). The duration of the course is 4 semesters. It is based on a development of project methodology, allowing students to develop throughout the course: - The writing of a project (script included) for a feature film or mini-series, respecting all the rules and principles that allow them to prepare a project capable of being submitted to evaluation by the programs and institutions of the European Union; - The direction of a fictional and/or documentary film; - An applied theoretical investigation within the scope of cinematographic studies, of a critical nature, which results in a written thesis or a paper. The course is aimed to students qualified with a Degree in Cinema and Media Arts, or other degrees in related areas, as well to all professionals who wish to deepen their skills in the areas of creative film production, directing and writing.
