A degree in Engineering Science - Industrial Engineering aims to develop the competence of students to the profession of engineer in areas of industrial and management processes, including the ability to analyze problems and design engineering solutions in areas of industrial activity. The skills developed include: ability to apply knowledge and understanding to support a professional approach to work in the area of vocational student; capacity analysis and needs assessment in industrial environments, ability to work and process information, including nature technique. These basic skills must be complemented by the following general responsibilities discrimination.Development of the student¿s ability to assess and decide in order to acquire: Ability to solve problems within the Major¿s area by building and supporting their own arguments; ability to collect,
select and interpret relevant information, particularly in the respective study field that ensure the justification of presented solutions and appreciations made, including in the analysis of scientific, social, and ethical aspects. Development of communication skills that ensure the conveyance of information, ideas, problems and solutions to experts and non-experts.
