Urban planning training at Lusófona University began in 1991 and, in the 1990s, research also began, as an essential factor for the development of the territory.
The doctoral programme, created in 2008, has 4 curricular units covering 4 specific and essential areas for urbanism, natural environment, built environment, society and administration and general urbanism. It is from these that doctoral students are invited to reflect on different problems and deepen their critical sense.
