Interest in its study is very old, but it has not lost its relevance, with Biology establishing itself as one of the sciences of the 21st century. Proof of this is the growing demand for training in the areas of biological sciences, more or less specific, depending on each individual's interests. Biology studies various levels of integration, from molecules to ecosystems, always linked to the greatest current challenges facing humanity, from the eradication of diseases to global changes. The Bachelor's Degree in Biology at Universidade Lusófona-Centro Universitário Lisboa has been training biologists since the 1999/2000 academic year and was the first in private higher education in Portugal. Today, it is recognized as a high-quality training space, competent in preparing its students for the demands of professional life in the most varied areas.
