Training in urbanism at Universidade Lusófona began in 1991 and the master's course began in 2004. The different curricular units of the master's course are coordinated and oriented in order to carry out a common, transversal project, which allows students to have a practical experience of the subjects taught through an accompanied exercise, where concepts and theories are applied, which amplifies the skills acquisition. In the second year, each student chooses the scope of his/her development work (theoretical dissertation or project work), allowing a work oriented on specific aspects of urbanism and of their interest.
