This Geography Information Science (SAIG) program is a bachelor degree program which provides students with competence and skills in developing and researching science of geography. This program makes a practical contribution (application of the field of science) in solving regional problems such as mapping natural disasters, exploitation of natural resources, global and local environmental changes, site selection for various regional planning interests, problems of national unity and integrity., and nationalism. Graduates of the SaIG study program are projected to be able to work in government agencies such as the Geospatial Information Agency (BIG), the Ministry of Public Works, the National Land Agency (BPN), and other government institutions that require personnel in the field of mapping. In addition, graduates can also work in private mapping agencies.
