The Marine Information Systems (SIK) study program is a branch of Marine Science that focuses on the analysis of marine data—both numerical and spatial—which is subsequently integrated into information systems developed to serve as a foundation for decision-making.
The core disciplines of the SIK study program comprise three areas: Fisheries and Marine Science, Information Systems, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). As the first study program in Indonesia to combine these three fields, this integration stands as a distinctive strength of the program.
