BACKGROUND
The limitations of human resources qualitatively and quantitatively determine the quality of the preparation and implementation of plans for an area/region. This limitation cannot optimize the use of regional economic resources in an economical and sustainable manner. In anticipating the ability of reliable regional planning human resources, the University of North Sumatra opened a Doctoral Program (S3) in Regional Planning in accordance with the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education, Ministry of National Education No. 3543/D/T/2003 November 13, 2003.
OBJECTIVE
- Produce competent regional planning experts.
- Improving the ability of researchers in the science of regional planning.
- Increase professional and constructive cooperation between educational institutions, communities and autonomous governments.
