The Master of Nursing study program was established on April 5, 2011 with the establishment decree number 1008/h5.1.r/sk/prs/2011 which was signed by the Chancellor of the University of North Sumatra at that time, namely: Prof.dr.dr.Syahril Pasaribu,DTM&h ,M.Sc,(CTM),Sp.a(k). The master's study program in nursing began its academic activities in September 2011. Initially, only one concentration/interest of study was opened, namely nursing administration, then in 2012 a new concentration was opened, namely medical surgical nursing.
VISION
As a nursing master's education center to produce competitive and superior graduates who have the ability to be competitive in developing holistic caring- based nursing science and technology based on scientific, moral, and conscience studies and gain international recognition in 2021.
MISSION
- Creating a conducive academic atmosphere for nursing masters students in a quality teaching and learning process based on holistic caring .
- Develop nursing science and technology through innovative research based on holistic caring and partnerships that accommodate the formation of professional nursing practitioners who are able to meet public health needs.
- Developing community service as an application of the results of nursing research based on holistic caring to improve community health levels.
- Establish domestic and foreign cooperation for the development of nursing science with various domestic and foreign educational institutions.
