VISION

To become an educational institution that produces Masters in Political Science who masters local political theories and Islamic politics and is skilled in local politics in North Sumatra. so that they are able to appear professionally in solving political, social, economic and cultural problems in general and local political problems in particular and empower the community, either individually, in organizations/groups, or in the community collectively, as well as participate in the development of political science in accordance with the demands of the times/global modernization.

MISSION

  • Carry out educational development and develop education, research, community service and cooperation in accordance with the nature of the discipline of Master of Political Science (MIP) USU FISIP in the field of local politics and Islamic politics.
  • Educate and train students to become masters who master the theories of Local Politics and Islamic Politics so that they are able to appear professionally in order to solve problems of local politics and Islamic politics in North Sumatra.
  • Take an active role in developing the treasures of knowledge, which are related to local politics and Islamic politics so that the theories and methods developed in the Master of Political Science can be able to become analytical tools to master, analyze and solve local political problems and Islamic politics in particular in North Sumatra.
  • To establish togetherness and tolerance among teachers, students, and the community so that a conducive relationship is established in the context of developing knowledge in order to maintain the principles of good morality.
