USU's Psychology Study Program (PS) was established in 1999 and began accepting its first batch of students to take part in the undergraduate education program for the undergraduate program in the 1999/2000 academic year. The new student admission system is carried out through the State University Entrance Exam (UMPTN) which later became the UMB (Joint Entrance Exam) and the PMP (Interest and Achievement Search). In recent years, the selection of admissions has been added through the SNMPTN (National Selection for State University Admission) and SPMPRM (Selection for Independent Regular Program Student Admissions). In the 2003/2004 academic year USU's PS Psychology graduated its first psychology degree. With the production of graduates from PS Psychology, PS Psychology submitted an application to undergo the accreditation process by BAN-PT and as a result obtained an Accreditation B Rank. On July 16, 2007 USU Psychology Study Program which was previously under the USU Faculty of Medicine officially stands alone as USU's Faculty of Psychology.
