VISION
To become an international pioneer study program in Social Research, Community Empowerment and Startup Consultant for social and development planning in 2021.
MISSION
- Organizing learning processes in the fields of social research, community empowerment and social development planning beginner consultants by emphasizing student centered learning based on E-learning supported by a conducive academic atmosphere.
- Conducting a series of international standard research with the theme “Nationality in the midst of local and global paradoxes” as uniqueness and priority in accordance with the reality of multiculturalism.
- Conduct community service with a focus on poverty alleviation in coastal and agricultural tourism villages.
- Develop a Sociology Laboratory as a data center for relations between groups and service providers and training in data analysis (quantitative, qualitative and triangulation) using STATA, NVIVO, SEM, UCINET, and SPSS software with international reputations.
- Manages the Study Center "Conflict Resolution and Intergroup Relations" with an international reputation.
- Published the journal "Sumatra Sociological Indicators" Sociology Study Program (print and e-journal) to achieve national accreditation.
- Collaborating on research, service, and social development planning consultants with international/national universities, international/national NGOs, the Ministry of Villages, Kesbanglinmaspol, Bappeda, and BPS.
