The PhD in Classics offers you the opportunity to study classics at an advanced level through independent research.

Our strong relationship with other subjects such as Archaeology, History, Philosophy and Law, means that interdisciplinary study and supervision can be arranged.
Each student is allocated at least two supervisors, allowing us to combine thematic, chronological and disciplinary expertise in the supervisory team.
