The degree course in Philosophical Studies aims to provide a solid basic knowledge in all areas of philosophy. A wide space is given to the history of philosophy, from ancient to contemporary, to theoretical philosophy, morality and aesthetics, with particular attention to the reading of the classics. The course also adequate preparation in the most recent fields of analytical philosophy, contemporary ethical theories, aesthetics as a discipline aimed at the landscape, the environment, a multiple forms of artistic expression. From a methodological point of view, and in particular through logic and gnoseology, the course provides the necessary tools for the development of the techniques of argumentation, critical confrontation, dialogue. The course promotes interdisciplinary study, with particular regard to the fields of political thought, sociology and languages. The philosophical preparation can be completed by the knowledge relating to the historical, pedagogical and biological disciplines, in order to allow students to move towards professions such as teaching. In general, the course aims to develop in students the ability of analysis, critical judgment and argumentation, organizational and relational, useful for multiple job opportunities, such as professions related to publishing, information, dissemination and promotion of cultural events, intercultural mediation, public relations, work and personnel organization in companies and public and private structures.
