The master's degree in Medical, Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Biotechnologies aims to train a graduate who can be proposed on the job market with an original curriculum that is already oriented in terms of professional skills. The course held in Parma offers students three curricula: Biotechnology for prevention and therapy (pharmaceutical biotechnologist), Biotechnology applied to animal production and food safety (veterinary biotechnologist), Biotechnology applied to regenerative and restorative medicine (medical biotechnologist).

The main feature of the organization of the course is the acquisition of the skills, knowledge and communication skills necessary both for access to higher education and for the optimal exercise of the profession itself. The professional figure of the biotechnologist has increasingly close contacts with the production sectors, as his skills include activities for the promotion and development of scientific and technological innovation in application contexts of human and animal health, insertion in production facilities in diagnostics and pharmaceutical, management of services in biotechnological laboratories in the context of private and public health facilities.
