The course aims at emphasising the potential link between the culture of the design project and the food system, looking at consumption, management, production and circularity scenarios. This is happening via teaming the two universities involved in the course, the University of Parma and Politecnico di Torino. Both belong to cities interested in planning cultural and scientific initiatives for the Unesco Creative Cities Network: in 2015, Parma was nominated for the gastronomy area, while in 2016, Turin for the design sector.
Graduates in Sustainable Design for the Food System will propose innovative solutions to the challenges of sustainable and inclusive development of businesses, territories and society, thanks to a critical and conscious approach. Graduates in Sustainable Design for the Food System will have all the necessary skills to enter the world of work, as a designer in all sectors in addition to the food industry.

Admission Requirements
Admission to the degree course requires possession of the high school qualification required by current legislation or another qualification obtained abroad, recognised as suitable, as well as possession or acquisition of an adequate initial preparation.
As the course has a programmed number of students, it is necessary to pass the admission test known as "TOLC-I" (CISIA online test).
