The MSci Developmental Biology course will enable students to achieve an integrated master's degree while studying for a BSc. In the first three years of the course, students will learn how the single cell formed at fertilisation forms an embryo and then a fully formed adult organism, covering multiple disciplines including genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, anatomy, physiology and computer modelling. Students will also learn how developmental biology is having a significant impact on their understanding of evolution and modern medicine, including the treatment of birth defects, infertility and cancer in humans.
