This program of study is for graduates of 80 accredited undergraduate architecture programs or their international equivalents, and requires 46 graduate credits for completion. Students are admitted in the fall semester only. Degree requirements All students must complete a minimum of 46 credits, consisting of a set of core seminar and architecture studio courses (28 credits); a minimum of one required integrated building technology course (3 credits); a minimum of one required critical thinking and representation course (3 credits); a minimum of four electives (12 credits); and an immersive away experience outside of the College of Architecture and Planning consisting of a) a professional internship or b) an approved academic or research experience. The professional master of architecture degree (MArch) is for students who seek licensure in the profession. The MArch is accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB). Applicants to the MArch program must meet the admission requirements of the Ball State University Graduate School and the Department of Architecture. International students must also meet the requirements of the Rinker Center for International Programs.
