The finance undergraduate major consists of at least 120 credits divided into four groups of courses: the University Core Curriculum 14 undergraduate business foundation courses specialized finance course work, including an 18-hour finance core, plus 9 credits of electives general electives to round out your degree Our finance program will prepare you for a wide range of career opportunities. Finance occupations generally involve gathering financial information, analyzing information, and making recommendations. Finance professionals work with individuals as financial planners, with large and small businesses as financial analysts and decision makers, and with financial services firms in providing services to individuals and businesses. Our graduates have the tools to excel in the workplace and have the potential for quick advancement. Our program prepares you to work in diverse employment situations or initiate entrepreneurial ventures. Our graduates go on to positions in a wide variety of businesses, including banking securities, real estate, insurance, manufacturing, services, and local and federal government.
