Global trading importing, exporting, sourcing parts overseas and building markets is regular business now. A global mindset a blend of experience, attitude, and fluency in other cultures in a business context, may mean you find yourself somewhere else on the planet or connecting to someone who is. Our international business major launches a whole-world business perspective with an integrated, individualized course of study. You’ll have heaps of opportunity to follow your business and cultural interests, use your foreign language skills, and study abroad while gaining a rock-solid foundation in marketing, management, finance, economics, information systems, and logistics. The international business undergraduate major consists of at least 120 credits divided into four groups of courses: the University Core Curriculum a set of 14 undergraduate business foundation courses: 42 credit hours 21 credit hours of specialized international business course work encompassing international business, economics, finance, management, and marketing. Students must fulfill a functional area requirement by taking 9 hours of approved 300- or 400-level business courses in one department. To fulfill an international studies/culture requirement, students must take 6 hours of approved international studies/culture course work outside the Miller College of Business and in addition to the international/global requirement of the University Core Curriculum complete the first four courses in a single foreign language: 14 credit hours general electives to round out your degree
