The Department of Soil Science at Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University (HSTU), Dinajpur, Bangladesh, was founded in 1999 under the Agriculture Faculty. The Department contributes to a four-year Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (B.Sc. Ag.), a two-year Master of Science (M.S.), and a three-and-a-half-year Ph.D. program in Soil Science.
