Field professional activity of graduates in the direction of training Fisheries and aquaculture includes a set of means, ways and methods of human activity aimed at creation and exploitation of fish and aquaculture. methods of human activity, directed on creation and operation of technical, information-measuring, controlling and other technologically oriented systems for fish, hydrobionts and aquaculture production.
Graduates may carry out professional activities in other fields and (or) spheres of professional activity, provided that the level of their education and acquired competencies correspond to the requirements for the qualification of an employee.
The objects of professional activity of graduates in the direction of training Fishery and aquaculture are: processes of scientific research, creation and operation of fishery fishing systems, including fishing tools for fish and other hydrobionts, fishing devices, machines, mechanisms, control equipment, processes of operation of fishing and research vessels, the environment of catching objects, as well as processes of management of search and extraction of hydrobionts, regulation and inspection of fisheries and technical means of aquaculture.
Tasks of professional activity of graduates:
Production and technological activity:
- organization and implementation of incoming quality control of raw materials, production control of semi-finished products and parameters of technological processes, quality of finished products during production and operation of fishing gear, fishing mechanisms and technical means of aquaculture;
- organizing and conducting expert examination and certification of fishing materials and fishing gear;
- organization of workplaces, their technical equipment, placement of technological equipment and control over observance of technological discipline;
- control over compliance with fishing rules, environmental safety and labor protection;
- inspection of the technical condition and residual resource of fishing gear, mechanization equipment and aquaculture systems.
Organizational and management activity:
- organization and effective implementation of technological processes of fish and other hydrobionts extraction on the basis of rational use of raw materials, technical means of industrial fishing;
- organization of work of small teams of performers.
Scientific and research activity:
- Collection of information, analysis of literature sources on the development of pond fish farming, ichthyology and aquaculture;
- possession of methods of scientific research, participation and carrying out of experiments, processing of results of experiments.
Design activities:
- development of design and working technical documentation, technical execution of completed design and development works;
- participation in improvement of processes and techniques of industrial fishing and aquaculture;
- participation in calculations of industrial fishery engineering objects.
Graduates of higher education institutions, who have fully mastered the basic educational program of higher professional education in Bachelor's degree and successfully passed the state final certification in the established order, are awarded a diploma of higher education with the academic degree "Bachelor".
The normative term of mastering the basic educational program of higher professional education training of bachelors in the direction of "Fisheries and aquaculture" on the basis of secondary general or secondary vocational education in full-time education is not less than 4 years, which corresponds to at least 240 credits.

The Kyrgyz National Agrarian University named after K.I. Skryabin (KNAU) is the leading agrarian educational institution in Kyrgyzstan. The University was founded in 1933 and is located in Bishkek.
Bachelor's degree programs at KNAU are offered in various fields related to agriculture, agribusiness, economics, biotechnology, veterinary medicine, animal husbandry, farming and other agrarian areas. The duration of the Bachelor's program is 4 years of full-time study, 5 years of part-time study, college graduates and those with higher education are trained in a shortened program of study.
Students of bachelor programs receive theoretical knowledge and practical skills in their chosen field. Master's programs at the Kyrgyz National Agrarian University named after K.I. Skryabin (KNAU) offer students the opportunity to gain deeper knowledge and skills in agriculture, engineering, land management, water resources management, agronomy, ecology, agro-processing, economics and other related fields.
The duration of Master's program is 2 years. The educational process includes lectures, practical classes, laboratory work, as well as the completion and defense of a master's thesis. Students can also participate in research and practical projects conducted by university professors and scientists.
For admission to the master's program, the university conducts a competitive selection process based on the results of the final examination and the possession of a bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent education.
KNAU provides an opportunity for master's students to study on budget and contract forms of education. The University also offers various exchange and internship programs that allow students to expand their knowledge and experience outside the University in foreign partner universities.
