Students will learn about the design, deployment and maintenance of the infrastructure needed to generate and distribute electricity around the world, including renewable forms of energy such as solar and wind. In this degree, students will explore power systems including power generators and motors, power electronics, transmission and distribution systems. As part of this degree, students will also learn about power systems analysis, operation and control, and safety and protection. A final Honours year is embedded in this degree, allowing students to apply everything they learn in their first three years of study. Upon completing this degree, students can become graduate members of Engineers Australia.
