To effectively address the climate crisis and reduce carbon emissions, countries worldwide are actively promoting energy transition. Taiwan aims for net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, necessitating a significant reduction in fossil fuels, an increase in renewable energy, control of energy consumption growth, and improved energy efficiency across all sectors to maximize energy savings. This program focuses on the development and management of green energy systems such as energy storage, hydrogen energy, and biomass energy, integrating interdisciplinary technologies from electrical engineering, computer science, communications, energy materials, earth sciences, and the sustainable energy market. Its goal is to cultivate future professionals in sustainable green energy technology and provide effective solutions for the future needs of the green energy industry.

Program Features: Sustainability in Green Energy PhD Program primarily targets the power and energy-related industries, cultivating the necessary professionals. The curriculum covers engineering technologies required by electrical engineering, information technology, communications, energy materials, earth sciences, and the sustainable energy market. Practical technical training and guidance for innovative energy applications will be provided through a dedicated energy testing facility.
