A key development goal of this department is to establish a research team spanning chemical engineering and materials science. In recent years, research has focused on three key areas: nanomaterials, advanced microelectronics, and biotechnology, with substantial resources allocated to these areas. In addition to the "Nanocatalyst Research Center" and "Interface Science Research Center," both centered on nanocatalysts and interface science, the department collaborates with other departments within the university to develop academic centers for biochips, optoelectronic devices, and energy materials. The department also emphasizes close collaboration with industry, government, and academia. In cooperation with the Industrial Technology Research Institute, a joint R&D center has been established, focusing on nanotechnology, catalysts, and energy technologies. This collaboration aims to make the department's research scope more comprehensive and diverse, and to equip its students with a broader knowledge base and practical skills, enabling them to successfully enter relevant industries or research institutions after graduation.
