The Department of Space Science and Engineering at National Central University (NCNU) is the only higher education institution in Taiwan dedicated to the study and research of space science and engineering, boasting unparalleled breadth and comprehensiveness in space science research and education. It has long been involved in domestic and international space science research projects and maintains close collaborative relationships with various space research institutions. This year, it received full funding from the Ministry of Education's " Higher Education Deep Cultivation Project " for a special research center, which will be used to establish the " Space Science and Technology Research Center " at NCNU over the next five years (2018-2022). Simultaneously, it actively participates in the National " Third Phase Long-Term Space Technology Development Plan " (2019-2028), cooperating in various scientific missions and cultivating the next generation of talent for the space industry.
For students interested in space science, the Department of Space Science (DSSE) is an excellent choice to become a space scientist, with research spanning the upper atmosphere, ionosphere, magnetosphere, heliophysics, and planetary science .
