The Master of Nursing (MN) curriculum offered by NUS reflects the current healthcare needs and the importance of advanced nursing practice. Students receive advanced clinical knowledge, skills and acquired professional attitude from a range of disciplines in advanced nursing practice, clinical medicine, social sciences and public health. Students acquire and apply learnt knowledge and skills not only on campus but also in clinical practice settings. Upon successful completion of the 18-month MN programme, graduates are eligible to apply for APN provisional license with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) to continue a 12-month supervised practice and be certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN).

Admission Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements for admission: possess a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from a SNB accredited programme; have a minimum CAP of 3.20; have a minimum TOEFL score of 580/237/85 for paper-based, computer-based and Internet-based scores, respectively, or an IELTS score of 6.5 or equivalent – for applicants whose native tongue or medium of undergraduate education is not in English; possess full registration and a valid Practising Certificate with the Singapore Nursing Board; and have at least 5 years of continuous clinical practice as a Registered Nurse. An Advanced Diploma/Post-graduate Diploma in a Clinical Specialty would be an advantage.
