The increasing complexity of healthcare systems, the emergence of new infectious diseases, and the global threat from antimicrobial resistance and healthcare-associated infections have contributed to morbidity, mortality, and increased healthcare costs in healthcare facilities. This underscored the critical need for trained infection preventionists who can lead and implement evidence-based and innovative infection prevention and control (IPC) strategies.

World Health Organisation (WHO) and Ministry of Health (MOH) are emphasising on the need for trained professionals to lead IPC related initiatives in healthcare institutions.

Our programmed is designed to address this demand and prepare transformative IPC leaders. This program aims to equip graduates with the skills and knowledge necessary to assume leadership roles in IPC initiatives/projects, make informed clinical decisions, implement innovative IPC strategies, conduct effective IPC training for hospital personnel, and work collaboratively with healthcare team to contribute to enhancing patient safety and protecting public health.
