The general objective of the Master's program in Mathematics is to train professionals: Competent, with high academic quality, capable of developing, applying, solving and optimizing mathematical models of real phenomena, populations, processes or systems; Able to integrate knowledge in the aforementioned areas to carry out advanced research and, if necessary, provide high-level teaching of current mathematical science; Interested in providing efficient solutions to problems related to production, the economy and society; Complement the basic general training of graduates of Mathematics and other related careers; Achieve a mathematical specialization in accordance with the demands raised by the institutions where the professionals incorporated into the master's studies work; Train non-mathematical professionals in solving problems related to industries, companies and individuals, through the constant updating of technologies, theoretical foundations and application of mathematical methods and To train professionals who have an innovative interest in the application of mathematics and computer science to solve problems in an optimal and flexible way. To achieve this objective, master's graduates are educated to do tasks such as: market predictions, optimize resources, analyze risks, do qualitative research, apply econometrics, find heuristic solutions to complex problems, among others.

Admission Requirements
Professionals with third level degrees registered in the National Information System of Higher Education of Ecuador, preferably in the broad field of Natural Sciences, Mathematics and Statistics (05) Information and Communication Technologies (06) Engineering, Industry and Construction (07) Administration (04); and Professionals with third level degrees that demonstrate the exercise of teaching in basic sciences for a period equal to or greater than one year at the different levels of the National Education System.
