Environmental degradation and pollution problems require the training of professionals who can provide technical solutions to environmental problems. The area of environmental engineering represents an alternative in this sense, since it is an interdisciplinary career that trains professionals with solid foundations in various areas of the exact, biological and engineering sciences, whose main objective is to solve problems of pollution and environmental degradation. Within the Environmental Engineering career our students are trained in environmental control methods, management of renewable natural resources, laboratory techniques in environmental analytics, implementation of environmental management systems, among others. The Environmental Engineer graduated from the State University of Milagro is a professional trained with an investigative and innovative spirit, trained to carry out environmental management in the search for the harmonious achievement of sustainable development, and to recognize, analyze, and intervene with practical, creative solutions through the application of science and technology in the management of environmental problems.

Admission Requirements
All required documents (in digital copy; pdf format) are to be submitted to the university. The high school student who chooses to enter the Environmental Engineering career must have the following skills: Interest in life sciences such as biology, environmental science, or related technologies; Basic management of information and communication technologies; Critical attitude and research on the processes of nature and the social environment; Reason numerically; Teamwork under pressure; and Be Self-taught.
