The Pathophysiology and Pharmacology track is designed for students who wish to pursue fundamental or applied research in the health and clinical research sectors. The track aims to train future scientists and physicians in research and health and prepare them for doctoral studies. The Pathophysiology and Pharmacology track benefits from strong ties to the research environment of the Nice region through the participation of researchers and research professors in the teaching, thus ensuring students remain at the forefront of technological and scientific advancements.
The courses offered will enable students to acquire skills in integrated physiology (from the molecular to the organismal level), pathophysiology, immunology, metabolism and nutrition, new therapeutic approaches, and pharmacology. The courses are taught by research professors and researchers, as well as university professors and university lecturers/hospital practitioners from the Faculty of Medicine.
The Pathophysiology and Pharmacology track offers students rigorous disciplinary training in the fields of pathophysiology and pharmacology. Students also have the opportunity to tailor their academic path to their scientific interests by selecting individual modules from the entire Master of Science in Life Sciences program, in addition to the track-specific courses. Theoretical instruction is complemented by practical training through two mandatory extended laboratory internships during the two years of the Master's program.

Training prerequisites
Students wishing to join this program must have solid knowledge in disciplines related to physiology (physiology of major functions, immunology, metabolism, etc.), endocrinology, but also cellular and molecular biology, which they have acquired during their bachelor's degree.
