A continuous path in Molecular Chemistry
The Molecular Chemistry Master's program at Université Côte d'Azur is centered on two main themes :
- Fine Chemicals, Flavors, Perfumes & Cosmetics
- Medicinal Chemistry.
This Master's program, designed to train high-level professionals proficient in the latest technological innovations in Chemistry, offers a common first year followed by specialized tracks in the second year.
It prepares students more specifically for management positions such as:
- Chemical Engineer,
- Research & Development Engineer
, - or Technical Sales Engineer.
It also opens doors to careers in the national or local civil service, as well as the possibility of pursuing doctoral studies.
The first year, Master 1, offers general instruction covering various aspects of chemistry: organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, computational chemistry, inorganic chemistry, chemistry of flavors and fragrances, pharmaceutical chemistry, and sustainable chemistry.
These courses, taught entirely in English, provide a solid theoretical foundation, opening access to several Master 2 programs with diverse specializations.
After this common first year, the program is divided into two tracks:
PATHWAY - Formulation, Analysis, Quality (FOQUAL)
Offered through a work -study program, FOQUAL focuses on analytical chemistry, quality, regulatory affairs, and formulation. It combines theory and practice for a comprehensive and career-oriented education.
Created in 2003, the FOQUAL Master's program has been ISO 9001 and Qualiopi certified by CFA EPURE MÉDITERRANÉE since 2021.
COURSE - Medicinal & Bioorganic Chemistry (MedBioChem)
The MedBioChem program is based on three scientific pillars : Bioorganic Chemistry, Modern Chemistry, and Medicinal Chemistry, complemented by transferable skills in Management and Communication.
This program prepares students for a career as a medicinal or bioorganic chemist.
