OBJECTIVE


The aim of the program, delivered in France and Germany, is to guarantee mastery of the fundamental knowledge and techniques of French and German law.


Upon completion of this three-year binational program, a dual degree is awarded .

  • The Law License
  • The LL.B. in French and German law awarded by Saarland University


This dual degree allows students to pursue further studies in either country. Such a bicultural education provides the best possible introduction to an international or European career and enables students to acquire a range of skills highly sought after by purely national lawyers.



ORGANIZATION

Students enrolled at Université Côte d'Azur undertake the following:

  • The first year at the CJFA in Saarbrücken
  • The second year at the CJFA in Saarbrücken
  • Third year at the Faculty of Law and Political Science of the University of Côte d'Azur

Students in the integrated program follow all the courses at each of the different levels together.




Franco-German Legal Center


The Franco-German Legal Centre (CJFA ), part of the Law Department at Saarland University, is a unique academic institution for cooperation in Europe.


Its existence and mission are rooted in history and reflect the evolution of Franco-German relations. Over the years, the CJFA has developed partnerships with leading French universities to offer students a wide range of opportunities for further studies.


The CJFA's specific focus is to provide joint training for French-speaking and German-speaking students interested in the simultaneous study of French and German law over three years.

Since the start of the 2022 academic year, the integrated Franco-German law program offered by the Faculty of Law and Political Science at Université Côte d'Azur, in cooperation with the Franco-German Legal Center (CJFA) in Saarbrücken, has been supported by the Franco-German University .


The Franco-German University (in German, Deutsch-Französische Hochschule) is an organization that promotes Franco-German cooperation in higher education and research. Its primary mission is to initiate, coordinate, and fund study programs between partner French and German higher education institutions.


This support attests to the quality of the program and provides significant assistance for student mobility, which is crucial for law students in Nice.
