About this course   Explore Oceanography at a global top 100* university. Over this one year course you will study at the National Oceanography Centre Southampton (NOCS), home to one of the largest groups of marine and earth scientists in the world.
You will be provided with a broad foundation in marine science through an interdisciplinary introductory module. You will then have the opportunity to specialise in particular areas through a choice of modules covering topics ranging across marine biology, oceanography, climate, biogeochemistry, geology and geophysics before undertaking a research project on a topic of your choosing.   Your future career   This course offers flexible module choice and the opportunity to build your skills and experience on a research project in an area you have chosen. You'll graduate primed to start your career or to continue your exploration in research. Graduates often pursue careers in the marine environmental sector or undertake PhD research in marine sciences.   Key features of this course The programme allows you to develop sought after skills in laboratory and fieldwork.
