Key features of this course • Distinctive Blend: Integrates a balance of theory (Digital Media I: Critical Theory) and creative practice (Critical Media Practice and Digital Media II: Collaborative Critical Practice). • Final Project Flexibility: The degree culminates in a Final Project which can be either a traditional written research project or an integrated theory and practice project (e.g., a practical media output with written commentary). • Industry and Research Exposure: Benefit from collaboration with University research groups, guest talks from industry professionals, and participation in exhibitions and research events. • Location: The course is taught at Winchester School of Art.
Further information This is a one-year, full-time master's course. Taught modules are delivered in Semesters 1 and 2, followed by the independent Final Project during the summer (Semester 3). The program is open to applicants with a 2:2 degree in a relevant subject such as journalism, media, communication, history of art, or sociology.
