International business studies the markets, people, and places involved in trade, commerce, and exchanges throughout the world. Students in this field are challenged to think globally and to develop an awareness of the cultural, political, and economic aspects of business. The study of international business enables you to understand the cultural and social dimensions of the global marketplace. You’ll learn how business activities are influenced by political, economic, and cultural diversity. Your studies will span a range of topics: finance, business law, accounting, management and operations, tourism, and marketing, as well as a foreign language. Immersion in a foreign environment is one of the best ways to develop a global business mindset and discover you’re potential. The college offers faculty-led study-abroad programs in Australia, China, Greece, Italy, Korea, Spain, Switzerland and Thailand. You may also choose to study at the college’s international centers in China and Switzerland. WSU graduates in international business will be prepared for success in overseas assignments, staff positions that advise top management on international operations, positions with global responsibilities, consultant work with companies, and a world of additional opportunities.

Applicants must have completed at least 12 years of school, culminating in an appropriate secondary certificate or external examination. (We may consider the first year or two of university in some countries to be secondary level.) Schooling should include preparation in humanities, mathematics, basic sciences, and social sciences. WSU requires a minimum grade point average of 2.70 (on a 4.00 scale). Preference is given to students whose grades are significantly above average. Other English Language Requirements: 550 paper-based (PBT) TOEFL, 213 computer-based (CBT) TOEFL, MELAB score of 77.
