Civil Engineering focuses on the design, planning, and execution of different types of construction projects, including buildings, hydraulic and sanitation works, communication and transportation routes, bridges, and special structures. The Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering at Universidade Lusófona - Centro Universitário do Porto provides comprehensive training, which aims to equip students with a solid education, comprising basic sciences, knowledge, and theories in the traditional fields of Civil Engineering, and to introduce new areas of knowledge, scientific content, tools, and technologies that are essential for the development of the field. There is, therefore, a clear focus on generalist training, in order to provide future civil engineers with a broad spectrum of skills that can later be complemented with more focused knowledge in specific areas. Particular importance is given to the laboratory/experimental component of the training, as well as to contact with real civil engineering projects.  The course is adapted to the current reality, providing a global view of international civil engineering and opening doors to national and international careers. It has a young and dynamic teaching staff, with relevant scientific and technical contributions, which promotes a close relationship and highly personalized monitoring of students' work.
