The NUS Master of Clinical Investigation Program was developed by the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine in consultation with the Ministry of Health, senior clinician – researchers from various hospitals and research funding agencies. It has been designed to meet the needs of clinicians and allied health professionals in healthcare institutions who desire to incorporate scientifically sound research into their clinical practice. The goal of the program is to equip clinicians and allied health professionals with the basic methodologic and practical skills to design and conduct clinical investigations that are relevant to patient care. These include studies aimed at evaluating: new treatments and technologies, diagnostic modalities, mechanisms of human disease, determinants of disease outcomes, and effectiveness of health services.
