College days are a time for exploration and self-discovery, of course, all leading to a fulfilling career. The Arts & Letters major is an interdisciplinary major that embraces a holistic approach along many flexible career paths. The program explores the connections between behavioral sciences, humanities, politics, economics, religion, culture, history and aesthetics. Students can choose courses in subjects that interest them, and practice applying the knowledge they gain in the classroom through an undergraduate research project or an internship. They can choose to pursue a graduate school, professional, or general track within the Arts & Letters major. Major Requirements EDUC 101 - Foundations of Education LANG 103 - Language and Culture SCWK 203 - Introduction to Social Welfare SOC: 3 credits at 200 level or above FNAR: 3 credits beyond General Education requirement at 200 level or above ENGL: 3 credits at 200 level or above HIST: 3 credits beyond General Education requirement at 200 level or above PLSC: 3 credits at 200 level or above PSYC: 3 credits at 200 level or above PHIL: 3 credits at 200 level or above RLST: 3 credits at 200 level or above at least 3 internship credits or 3 credits of an A& L-related research seminar/ capstone
