This program is aimed at graduates in Engineering Sciences and Civil Engineering from all related areas, who wish to acquire advanced knowledge to develop fundamental and applied research, addressing complex problems with a multidisciplinary approach. The graduate of the Master in Engineering Sciences formed at the Universidad de La Frontera, is a postgraduate with capabilities to work in basic or applied research in Energy and Water Resources, Mechatronics and Intelligent Systems or Materials and Structures, and in the dissemination of knowledge in the area.
He/she has training in research methodologies and updated theoretical and practical knowledge of Engineering. His/her training enables him/her to solve complex problems with current engineering tools, contributing to the development of his/her professional environment; Participate in research activities using the scientific method to contribute with solutions to problems in the area; Support research results in the area for the transfer of new engineering knowledge; Prepare scientific articles based on research results for their dissemination to the scientific-technological community.
They have the ability to coordinate and collaborate in multidisciplinary work teams, demonstrating critical thinking and ethics in their actions. He/she will be able to work in public and private companies, research centers and higher education.

Admission Requirements

Students of the Master's Program in Engineering Sciences at Universidad De La Frontera must have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Sciences or a professional degree whose level and duration of studies are equivalent to those required to obtain a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Sciences or a related area.
In addition, graduate professionals must have demonstrable professional experience in one of the areas of development of the program.
For undergraduate students (with a Bachelor's degree) it is required to demonstrate previous experience in program subjects (subjects taken in undergraduate courses or professional practice activities).
