Objective of the Program To promote the advanced knowledge of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, through the updated improvement of professionals that contributes to the adequate decision making to improve the health of individuals and communities.
Specific Objectives To provide updated, valid and relevant concepts related to motor learning, motor control and neuromotor development, from an integral perspective, focusing on the benefits that involve the application of these concepts in human development.
Apply the mechanisms and physiological adaptations of training in response to physical activity and exercise, integrating the biophysical basis of human movement to Physical Therapy conditions.
Integrate updated scientific-clinical knowledge with skills and attitudes in the context of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation of neuromotor disorders, musculoskeletal dysfunctions and cardiorespiratory conditions, based on clinical reasoning that allows addressing the functional problems of human beings throughout their life cycle.
Apply new evaluative and therapeutic technologies to the Physical Therapy process in the context of Neuromotor, cardiorespiratory and musculoskeletal Rehabilitation.
Develop skills in the critical reading of scientific literature related to Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation in order to translate the knowledge provided by research into daily clinical practice.
Integrate knowledge and methods acquired to face a challenge in human Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation and translate this into a Degree Work that positively impacts the population.

Admission Requirements

It is governed by the General Postgraduate Regulations of the Universidad de La Frontera and will require the applicant to send the following documentation:
1. Letter of application addressed to the Director, justifying his/her interest in entering the Program. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Professional Degree, both in the area of Health Sciences accredited by the original Certificate or legalized copy of the Bachelor's Degree and/or Professional Degree. 3. Academic and Professional Curriculum (maximum length 3 pages). 4. Original certificate or legalized photocopy of the concentration of undergraduate and postgraduate grades if applicable. 5. Two letters of reference, at least one of which must be from an academic of the University where he/she graduated or from the University or Institution where he/she currently works. 6. Demonstrate proficiency in reading comprehension of the English language certified by undergraduate courses or professional certification. 7. Declare the Mention to choose and that he/she wishes to develop within the program (Cardiorespiratory Rehabilitation; Neuromotor Rehabilitation; Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation). This declaration must be presented in the Letter of Application addressed to the Director (1). 8. Degree Work Proposal. Format of the proposal: Identification of the Problem, Justification, Professional Impact, Feasibility (maximum length 2 pages).
