Objective of the program The Program is oriented to the updating and incorporation of new knowledge and development of research and professional competencies specialized in the field of Legal and Forensic Psychology, which allows an effective and relevant performance in different roles in the judicial field.
Master's graduates in this program possess academic and research competencies that allow them to generate new knowledge in Legal and Forensic Psychology as well as validate procedures and instruments for expert evaluation and technical counseling. Additionally, they integrate fundamental knowledge of law and criminology to forensic psychological evaluation and develop specialized competencies to work in the judicial field in the care of victims and witnesses, conducting expert opinions and ratifications in oral trials, as well as in evaluation, counseling and interventions in family issues. Potential candidates for this program must be psychologists with experience and interest in professional development in the field of Legal and Forensic Psychology.

Admission Requirements

Have the professional title of Psychologist and/or the academic degree of Licentiate in Psychology, granted by a national or foreign university in a program recognized in Chile.  Be exercising professional functions in the field of Legal and Forensic Psychology.  Complete the application form within the deadlines established in the regular call for applications.  Pass a selection interview.
