The university, which is located in Ramadi City in the Governorate of of Al-Anbar, has now flourished into 18 colleges with 61 departments and 6 scientific research centres.
Ramadi enjoys a warm, riverside climate and sits on one of the main roads through Iraq. Sights in the city include one of the largest mosques in the area, fully restored in 2017.
The university’s mission is to have a pioneering position in higher education and scientific research and develop academic programmes for achieving sustainable development.
